What is the Masters Tournament?

The Masters Tournament is an invitational professional golf tournament that was first held in 1934. The tournament is held every year at the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, GA. The best golfers in the world come together to compete Thursday through Sunday of the first week in April. Masters Tournament Champions win several million dollars, a lifetime invitation to the Masters Tournament, invitations to the three other Majors golf tournaments, a gold medal, and the legendary green jacket.

Massive brands came to play with fresh takes on the iconic blend of activewear and professional attire that makes golf style so unique and interesting. Travis Mathew

The Travis Mathew brand is known for its more subtle, quietly tasteful designs. The sportswear brand is known for its chest stripe polos and has become a trendsetter in the golf industry. Travis Mathew’s performance fabrics are innovative and keep a polished look while offering the highest performance. Sam Burns kept it neutral with shades of black and grey and a pop of green for Friday’s look. Jon Rahm, the 2023 Masters Tournament Champion and winner of the green jacket, made things interesting with a mix of geometric and floral patterns. 

 

Peter Millar

Peter Millar dressed the masters with bold colors for spring. While the Peter Millar designs worn at the 2023 Tournament kept patterns and texture to a minimum, bright, rich colors did all the talking. The brand is known for its use of quality natural fibers that feel luxurious but perform with the best. Kevin Kisner played it cool with shades of teal, sky blue, and navy. Cameron Young sported a coastal color scheme with salmon, navy, and blue. Ben Carr focused on lavender (a major trending color for 2023) and shades of grey, wearing temperature-controlled, wind-protective fabrics.

 

 

Puma

Puma Golf made an appearance with lots of white and subtle florals for the 2023 Tournament. The sportswear brand is known for being light on its feet and ready to take on any challenge. Adam Svensson wore a new release of the Puma Verdant Polo, keeping a base of white with pops of subtle blue as his uniform. Gary Woodland was styled similarly, matching his Puma golf snapback hats to his springtime polos. These Puma polos have four-way stretch fabric to let athletes do their thing.

 

 

Ralph Lauren

Ralph Lauren is one of the most famous classic golf brands in the industry. It’s a staple of the Masters Tournament, and the 2023 Tournament styles played on the history and nostalgia of the event. Billy Horschel wore classic Masters colors, including the rye green the Masters is known for along with pastel pink and yellow. Zach Johnson sported Masters green with royal navy and an array of blues.

 

 

Adidas

Adidas sportswear has been a leader in performance wear for decades. This year, Adidas outfitted athletes in vibrant coral paired with classic navy and clean shades of grey. Collin Morikawa sported floral and solid coral polos while sporting neutral trousers all weekend. Xander Schauffele mixed sky blue and olive green into his coral and navy pallet. Tyrrell Hatton wore a tapered golf pant, which were made from 90% recycled materials.
