About MiiR’s Founder and Brand Vision
Bryan Papé founded his sustainable, philanthropy-based drinkware brand after a flash of inspiration. He had gotten into a ski accident and severely injured his leg, and while he waited for rescue, he thought: “If I were to die now, what would I leave behind? I need to do more with my life. I need to do something impactful that will make a difference in the world. I want to leave a legacy for the next generation.” And that’s exactly what he set out to do.
Inspired by the generosity of his late grandfather, Papé took his passion and channeled it into the drinkware industry, which he saw lacked sustainable, reusable drinkware that was convenient to use and stylish. But not only did Papé want his brand to represent sustainability; he wanted his company to invest in people’s lives, too. With the goal of helping bring safe drinking water to the millions of people who don’t have access, Bryan and his wife, Rebecca, got to work.
To invest in the health of the planet and its people, The MiiR brand has already donated more than 2.6 million dollars, and the company has expanded into several different avenues of giving, donating profits to more than 200 organizations in 26 different countries. The non-profit partners MiiR works with must be committed to supporting people and sustainability. Each MiiR purchase supports trackable giving projects.
The MiiR brand has a passion for creating durable products that are built to last no matter what life throws at you. They offer replaceable parts, should you lose or break a piece of your product. This prevents the need to throw away the entire product when only one piece is missing. Additionally, MiiR Products are made of recyclable materials. MiiR packaging uses recycled materials.
When it comes to MiiR’s manufacturing and distribution, the brand partners with factories that have high standards when it comes to their labor policies and environmental protection. The rights of workers in these factories are protected, providing anti-discrimination policies and fair treatment. These partner factories prevent underage labor, limit working hours, and offer fair compensation. As always, MiiR is focused on bettering people’s lives while protecting the Earth.
