Patagonia's Sustainable Partnership with Merchology
On Wednesday September 14th Patagonia’s founder, Yvon Chouinard, announced that his family was transferring ownership of the company into a new trust and nonprofit organization. This is an extremely bold move for the company and its leader but is perfectly in accordance with their core values. The new company ownership structure will allow the Patagonia brand to continue its mission of giving away its profits in a socially responsible and eco-friendly manner even after its founder is gone.
